Sport
Sport plays a key part of life at our school. Children participate in a variety of team sports as part of the curriculum, including rugby, hockey, netball, football, rounders, cricket, lacrosse, fitness and cross country, athletics, swimming, tennis, and golf.
Sporting fixtures from Year 4 upwards take place on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, where every pupil is given the opportunity to represent the school. These are against other preparatory schools and are aimed at encouraging self -confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, and sportsmanship. A mixture of both home, away and inter-house fixtures are all part of our extremely busy sporting calendar, as well as residential sporting trips.
Our talented, committed and professional sports staff also offer sports clinics, pathways and additional 1 to 1 sessions aimed at guiding our gifted and talented pupils to achieve both district and county honours, as well as scholarships at their secondary schools.
At Kitebrook we encourage all pupils to enjoy playing sport and experience a wide variety of team games and activities in order to find their passion. We strive to develop the sporting skills necessary to appreciate the value of ‘sport for life’. Our main goal at Kitebrook is to encourage all pupils to love sport and to take away the necessary skills to enjoy sport and exercise into adult life.
